Description
The first task it to guess who she is. Chain Mace
But to clarify your NOT trying to guess her name, but seeing as I've never given her a name you can go ahead and offer suggestions if you want, this task is to make guesses at the characters personality and habits, and maybe a little bit about the world she lives in. It's all an exercise to see if the way people perceive the scene is close to the way the artist (me) meant the scene to be portrayed.
I will update the comments in a week or two to give my answers to what I meant to portray.

I'll address what I meant to depict with the picture, as well as add a bit of description beyond what can be seen. Well to start with we have an old fantasy style library with several obvious magical devices. Most noticeably is that glowing flower table in the background. I had planned it to be nothing more than a magical atlas, showing maps, planets, and star charts. I may think of other uses for it if I ever decide to write a story about the character.
Next, we have the chalkboards and tutor. The chalkboards have gibberish all over them, that was meant to portray that whatever written language they use it makes no since to us. What is she teaching? Who knows, it could be anything from magic theory to social etiquette as the character is being educated in anything and everything. Hopefully, some of what she is being taught will stick. I tried to make the tutor look like an older woman, dressed in nice but plain clothes. I also wanted her to have long hair like the main character so as to try and hint that long braided hair may be culturally normal. I pictured her having an almost hypnotic and melodious lecturing tone when teaching. She is likely to put her pupil to sleep no matter how interesting the subject maybe, unfortunately. She doesn't mind though, as there is a test after each lecture. Mostly to find out when she fell asleep.
Now for the main character, I've decided to name her Marceline DeMorgenster. Originally the character concept was taken from the input of a 5 year old girl that was in my office and a bit of my own inspirations, so she was a mixture of Disney princes and chain mace wielding warrior. As far as this picture however, she is obviously asleep. I have her sitting with one foot in her chair and her leg is resting on the arm of the chair. I also noticed that I made her left handed as that is the hand that is currently holding her ink pin.
She as numerous tattoos on her body. The tattoos are actually magically inscribed glyphs that grant her gifts. The one seen in this picture on her left arm grants her strength and durability. She has glyphs under her right eye, left arm, lower to mid back, and right hip. What the other glyphs do I'm still debating but the one under eye is also a symbol of nobility, and is not to be obscured. The symbol of nobilities' shape, color, and gifts changes with each noble house.
There is a hot cup of something, supposedly a stimulant to keep her awake, that sits there forgotten on the table. There is an inkwell, pin case and scrap paper, one of which is waded up and used to clean the tip of her pin. Also on the table is an assortment of books and parchment which I assume is for today's lessons.
